The successful candidate will be a key part of the GESS Design and Construction team and will be responsible for estimating new building construction. This will include the extension of existing facilities and any new sites. The Estimator will play an integral role in the development and implementation of the North American facility network infrastructure. This role will analyze and evaluate different facility scenarios and build-out designs. In addition, this candidate has to support the standardization of the technical and facility related processes and systems.

Key job responsibilities
• Creating and maintaining estimating tools and templates for various levels of estimates and project types including risk assessment
• Utilizing and managing repository for historical data including cost performance metrics in comparison to estimate
• Analyzing and providing timely feedback of vendor proposals using benchmark data
• Validating large or complex changes with regards to cost impacts
• Managing revision control of scope and estimate for new designs and innovations
• Ability to look beyond the information that has been given, to ask the right questions and work to provide a complete project cost evaluation.
• Must be a collaborative and passionate advocate for our customers, empowering and informing them throughout the project.
• Must be aggressive in providing innovative solutions to complex issues as they arise related to cost, lead-times, trade partners, and/or specified products or materials.
• Ability to make reliable predictions as it relates to cost and be comfortable estimating across all scopes of work.
• Ability to assemble a complete presentation-worthy estimate package that clearly communicates project cost.
• Must be prepared to participate and often lead the preparation and presentation of cost / budget information to the customer/owner.
• Must have experience being a member of the Team involved in request for proposal responses (RFP’s) and the formal presentation for a project.
• Identify Value Engineering opportunities in the design and quantify the savings
• Able to engage and develop business with new and existing customers.
• Travel throughout North America approximately 25% of the time
