General Statement Of Duties
The IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the support, training, and administration of corporate applications, with a focus on Enterprise Service Management Systems, Microsoft 365 products, Dynamics GP, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools. There are two positions within this role, each specializing in different areas. These analysts will be subject matter experts (SMEs) for their respective applications and other corporate applications; providing leadership to users, making necessary updates to support business, IT, and corporate teams, and creating and delivering training on these applications.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the SME for the Enterprise Service Management System, Microsoft 365 products, Dynamics GP, and BI tools.
- Provide advanced support for users, resolving complex issues and ensuring optimal application performance.
- Manage system configurations and settings to meet business needs.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, goals and issues for enterprise systems.
- Lead and/or perform regular system maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to align application functionality with organizational goals.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users and IT Support.
- Create user guides, documentation, and training materials to support application usage.
- Conduct training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to enhance user proficiency and adoption.
- Lead efforts to integrate and optimize corporate applications within the enterprise environment.
- Act as a liaison between IT, operational teams, and corporate teams to ensure cohesive application usage and strategy.
- Participate in project planning and execution related to corporate application initiatives.
- Provide strategic input and recommendations for application improvements and innovations.
- Monitor application performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement changes and updates to enhance application functionality and user experience.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in enterprise applications and technology.
Experience – Skills – Abilities
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems analysis, support, and administration.
- Expertise in Enterprise Service Management Systems (e.g., ServiceNow), Microsoft 365 products, Power Automate, Power Platform, SharePoint, Dynamics GP, or BI tools,
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Deep understanding of the specific enterprise applications and related technologies.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on training and user support.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide others.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the company from executive leadership to frontline operational employees.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Travel expected 5-10% of the year depending on the area of the country in which the Business Systems Analyst resides.
