Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for an Intern on our Systems Analysis and Exploitation (SAE) team. The SAE team is composed of critical thinkers and expert reverse engineers. They aim to determine weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the evolving cyber world.
U.S. citizenship is required to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.
Intern Details:
- Must be able to work 10- 15 hours per week
- Ability to come onsite to headquarters (Rome, NY) as needed
What You'll Do:
- Assist in the analysis and reverse engineering of hardware and software components.
- Support the examination of target systems, including software systems, network components, control systems and embedded devices.
- Participate in the development and testing of hardware and software platforms.
- Collaborate with team members to document findings, methodologies and project outcomes.
- Contribute to problem-solving discussions and brainstorming sessions
Your Expertise:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Python or similar.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Coursework related to cryptography and binary exploitation is preferred
- Project lead and/or mentoring experience is a plus

US Hourly Range: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
The salary extended to a chosen candidate is determined by various factors, including the year of graduation and academic credentials (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's degree).
