Second shift hours are Monday - Friday 2:45-11:15pm EST, with occasional Saturdays.
Your role at Baxter
- As a Product Service Technician, you will provide technical and hands-on support on increasingly sophisticated products. Your strong electronic and analytical skills will allow you to find and resolve product failures to serve our customer quickly and accurately.
- This is where your expertise in troubleshooting, testing and correcting malfunctions in electronic devices, and test equipment will aid you in repairing the instruments that are returned to Baxter for service.
- You may help in the development of lean service methods and procedures for the repairing and inspecting of products or assemblies. Your strong communication skills will aid in training other internal or external service personnel as needed. By establishing regular internal contacts, you will exchange information, resolve issues, tackle problems and troubleshoot products, parts or processes.

- You are a collaborative team player and are capable of receiving initial instructions, service requirements, and advice from your supervisor or engineers with review upon completion. A crucial aspect of this position will be applying quality improvement and lean practices to all process and assignments while actively participating in a positive manner with functional and cross functional teams.
What you'll be doing
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair Medical Devices, test fixtures and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Identify, isolate and control nonconformance of components or products.
- Record product service data using defined data collection methods.
- Conduct internal communication with internal departments or external customers and vendors to resolve issues.
- May provide technical training assistance for to external biomedical staff, customers or vendors as the need arises
- May travel to customer locations to perform assistance when performing service, calibration, or training
What you'll bring
- Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Information/Tech or related discipline preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving experience and aptitude.
- Must be organized and have a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient with test equipment or tools such as: Digital Multimeter or Oscilloscope.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are preferred. You may be asked to speak publicly to a small group and on the phone or face to face with our customers.
- Solid understanding of Windows Operating systems (Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point) is a plus
- Ability to travel to perform on-site service is a plus
- SAP Experience is beneficial
- Must be able to lift 40lbs

The estimated base rate for this position is $21.70 hourly + a shift differential. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
