Cayuga Centers is an accredited non-profit, human services agency dedicated to family support and preservation, trauma-informed care, and serving vulnerable populations with the most unique needs. Founded in 1852 in Auburn, NY, we have a long history of delivering high-quality and innovative services to individuals, children, youth and families.
At Cayuga Centers, we embrace diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We do this by taking a firm stance against hatred, inequality, bias, and injustice. We do this by providing our staff with the training, coaching, and resources necessary to grow and serve with cultural humility, acceptance, and understanding. We are responsive to the diverse needs of those we serve and staff, and are committed to ensuring that everyone feels respected, valued, and a sense of belonging.
Cayuga Centers is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee, prospective employee, or applicant based on race, color, creed, hair style/texture, religion, national origin, citizenship status, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other classification protected by applicable federal, state, and/or local laws.
Treatment Family Foster Care (TFFC) is a research-informed, multi-tiered team approach to rebuilding family relationships. We work with children and teens (ages 0-21) who need high levels of support due to trauma they have experienced in their homes or communities. Each youth is carefully matched to foster parents, and a treatment plan specific to the needs of the youth is developed. Our foster parents are provided enhanced trauma-informed training and wraparound services to ensure the placement is secure until permanency is achieved. We serve youth and families by teaming with Local Department of Social Services officials, Office of Child and Family Services, Office of People With Developmental Disabilities, and community resource partners to provide bundled, strength-based, therapeutic interventions that change children’s lives.
Foster Care Therapists (TFFC Clinicians) coordinate treatment planning and delivery for all program youth and families. A clinician strives to build a partnership between the youth, foster family, and biological family; provides treatment in the forms of individual and family therapy to these assigned youth and families; and maintains professionalism in all areas, including confidentiality. Our clinicians MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of children and families using a trauma informed lens by working on a treatment team that believes that every child matters and that all people have strengths. The role you will play is pivotal in supporting youth and supporting families to reunify following the trauma of separation, or supporting youth to find permanent homes with kin or outside of their relatives.
Looking for an applicant who is willing to work with the youth/families at a time that suits the youth and family needs on a flexible schedule. This is a full-time, 40-hour-a-week position.
