Job Description: DEPARTMENT: Student Affairs APPOINTMENT: 12-months, Contingent on annual grant renewal REPORTS TO: Vice President for Student Affairs LOCATION: Dual Campus Major Responsibilities: The College is seeking a dynamic individual to lead the Educational Opportunity Program at Cayuga Community College. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director of EOP will be responsible for understanding the purpose and goals of EOP and implementing a successful and effective program at Cayuga. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, program design and oversight, budget management, data management, reporting, curriculum development and program assessment. Essential Duties: - Develop and supervise all aspects of the Educational Opportunity Program at Cayuga, including the summer institute and EOP orientation. This will include supervision and training of all EOP staff and oversight of academic support services provided by EOP.
- Work with the Admissions, Student Financial Services, Student Engagement, and other campus area to support the outreach, recruitment, financial aid packaging, admission and registration of students.
- Work collaboratively with faculty and College staff to develop strategies to best support EOP student learning outcomes and EOP performance-based outcomes.
- Establish and maintain records on student performance and program effectiveness.
- Implement a system for monitoring student success and tracking student achievement in accordance with campus wide metrics: retention, time to degree, and graduation rate.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records on the program and preparing necessary reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage EOP budget in accordance with state, SUNY, and College guidance.
- Occasional work on evenings and weekends in support of special projects and events.
- Conference attendance is required, which will include travel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Educational Administration & Leadership, Student Affairs, or related programs.
- 1-5 years of student affairs experience in a higher education setting; including supervisory experience. Community college experience preferred.
- Experience coordinating and providing academic support (e.g. programming, advisement services, etc.)
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient computer and data analysis skills.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse background of college students (i.e. academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, ethnicity, etc.).
- Valid NYS Driver's License.
