The SDS Testing Coordinator for Disability Accommodations is a detail-oriented, thoughtful individual who looks to advance disability access at Cornell through management of the Alternative Testing Program (ATP). Working under the supervision of the Director for SDS and in close collaboration with the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the Testing Coordinator manages the alternative testing module system, the scheduling of accommodated exams, and supervises a large group of testing proctors. This role provides training and guidance to faculty and other relevant university staff who have elected to participate in ATP services, regularly corresponds with students and faculty utilizing the services, resolves issues that arise from the testing process, and provides general guidance and support on the accommodation process. The work involves updating and monitoring the SDS database system (AIM) tied to the testing portal used across the university by faculty, students, departmental testing support staff, and proctors, in order to ensure effective communication and implementation of testing accommodations. This role involves extensive cross-campus collaboration and has a campus-wide impact on disability access.
