Position Summary
The purpose of the position is to provide support and management for the Grodsky Lab. Responsibilities include the following: 1) manage day-today operations and organization of the lab in consultation with the PI and lab members; 2) interact with and support lab members regarding research and logistical factors; 3) collaborate with CALS HR to hire, train, and provide day-to-day supervision to regular and temporary employees and students; 4) manage budgets for field- and lab-based activities of the lab in collaboration with the department financial reporting specialist; 5) under direction of the PI, assist with data collection and execution of experiments, including ecological fieldwork, interaction with invertebrates specimens in the lab, and data management; and 6) engage with the PI and lab members in scholarly activities, including data analysis and peer-reviewed publication.
