The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) seeks a Client Experience and Operations Coordinator for the Equine and Nemo Farm Animal Hospital. This position's focus is to coordinate the care of clients and their animals in a happy, welcoming, friendly, and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and recommend us to others. As the first face and voice to clients and referring veterinarians, this individual will promote the veterinary teaching hospital’s missions of providing comprehensive and compassionate care to animals while training future veterinarians and specialists.
The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Guide the ENFAH Client Service team to deliver professional, efficient, and exceptional service consistently, both in person and over the phone.
Schedule the flow of clients and their animals through the hospital, maximizing the productivity of the veterinary medical teams while meeting the client's needs.
Establish firsthand knowledge of our veterinary services and act as a bridge between the clients and referring veterinarians and the clinical services.
Facilitate the hospital visit from start to finish ensuring the client is comfortable and cared for and the referring veterinarian is informed.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems, translating them into practical solutions.
Professional and outgoing demeanor to develop positive and trusting relationships.
Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Experience with managing daily client service operations and mid-level projects from initiation to implementation.
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency and experience with various computer programs and ability to learn new technologies as they are implemented/
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with tact and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in human medical/veterinary/animal husbandry/equine science or related field preferred.
Familiarity with medical knowledge to appropriately triage client phone calls
Important Details about the Position
This is an onsite position located in Ithaca, NY.
We are unable to provide Visa sponsorship, now or in the future, for this position.
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
While the regular business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, the specific schedule may change to meet the needs of the business, requiring employees to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and University holidays and scheduled breaks.

The Cornell University Equine and Nemo Farm Animal Hospital offers state-of-the-art patient care for horses and farm animals. Our board-certified specialists, dedicated and skilled residents, licensed veterinary technicians, and supervised students work together to provide the best available emergency care, diagnostic procedures, treatment, and hospitalization for equine and farm animals patients. We are open around-the-clock every day of the year for emergency and critical care cases, including neonatal intensive care and high-risk pregnancies. Routine and specialized health care services are readily available. Services are supported by up-to-date diagnostic procedures, including body ultrasound; endoscopy of the respiratory system, stomach, and bladder; and high-resolution radiography, CT scan and MRI techniques; and full surgical suites.
