What You Will Do
The Admissions Office at the College of Human Ecology is seeking a Temporary Admissions Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for counseling and advising prospective undergraduate students and their families/supporters on matters of admission, assisting with the recruitment and selection of first-year and transfer students, event planning and implementation, and assisting in the implementation of communications content and updates.
Admissions representatives within Cornell’s colleges, schools, and units regularly collaborate and partner with the University Admissions/Enrollment Division to accomplish the University’s enrollment goals. This role reports to the College of Human Ecology Director of Admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a point of contact for prospective students and their families/supporters. Provide timely and detailed responses to mail, email, phone, and web inquiries.
Counsel and advise prospective students on matters of admission including how to apply for admission; course selection & academic preparation; may respond to conflicts between applicants and school and suggest possible resolutions.
Assist with content development for College of Human Ecology admissions digital and print materials.
Partner with College of Human Ecology Admissions Colleagues on the creation and implementation of first year and transfer recruitment and yield plans.
Work through the admissions process utilizing the Slate CRM system.
In conjunction with the Admissions Team, review and evaluate first year and transfer applications. Elevate compelling applicants for consideration by the Admissions Committee.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience working with high school and/or college-age students, or equivalent combination.

Important Notes about Applying
This is a one-year, non-renewable, fixed term appointment based in Ithaca, New York on Cornell University’s Campus. This position is full-time and eligible for Contract College benefits. A hybrid work arrangement may be considered and will be based on business needs.
Salary: $69,000 annual.
No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance are provided for this position.
