Senior Accountant
Location: Syracuse, NY (Hybrid – 1 day remote per week)
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
Schedule: 35-hour workweek (some 40-45 hour weeks may occur)
CPS Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading nonprofit organization in Syracuse, NY, to find a Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a stable, mission-driven environment with potential for long-term career growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage financial activities for 6-7 locations
- Oversee AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics-based financial systems
- Supervise an Accountant while collaborating with leadership
- Prepare income and expense reports, and assist with budgeting
Who You Are:
- At least 1 year of accounting experience (AP/AR, debits & credits)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, or similar systems is a plus
- Degree preferred, but relevant bookkeeping experience will be considered
- Capable of working independently and supervising an accountant
