Training Manager

Location: Syracuse, NY area | Hybrid

Travel: Regional travel throughout Upstate New York

Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 DOE, plus annual bonus opportunity

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an energetic, people-focused Training Manager for a growing franchise organization with a recognizable Upstate New York brand.

This hands-on role will support franchisees, store managers, and staff by providing training, operational guidance, and new store opening support. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, customer-service driven, and enjoys helping others succeed. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is helpful, but strong communication skills, a training mindset, and culture fit are most important.

Responsibilities

  • Train and support franchisees, managers, shift leaders, and staff on company standards and procedures
  • Assist with new store openings, franchise onboarding, and operational readiness
  • Provide hands-on support at franchise locations across Central and Upstate New York
  • Coach teams on scheduling, ordering, payroll processes, customer service, food preparation, and daily operations
  • Reinforce company culture, hospitality standards, and customer experience expectations
  • Partner with franchisees and leadership to improve consistency, processes, and performance across locations
  • Support training materials, operational documentation, systems, equipment, and ongoing growth initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with franchise owners and store leadership teams

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, customer-focused, team-oriented personality
  • Ability to train, motivate, and support others in a hands-on environment
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable traveling regionally and working onsite at franchise locations
  • Prior experience in training, operations, hospitality, retail, restaurant, customer service, or multi-site environments is helpful but not required
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing with an expanding organization

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60,000–$70,000 salary depending on experience
