HR Generalist

Fulton, NY | Full-Time | Onsite

$60,000-$65,000 annually depending on experience

Our client is seeking an HR Generalist to join their Human Resources team in Fulton, NY. This is a highly visible role that supports employees and leaders across a broad range of HR functions including payroll, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, recruiting, onboarding, and compliance.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being a hands-on HR partner and is looking for a role with significant exposure across all areas of Human Resources.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with payroll processing for employees in New York and New Jersey, including field service technicians
  • Support employees with benefits-related questions and enrollment activities
  • Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, Workers' Compensation, Disability, and Paid Family Leave
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with recruiting activities including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation
  • Support employee relations initiatives and day-to-day HR inquiries
  • Help administer employee engagement and recognition programs
  • Create and distribute internal communications, including site newsletters
  • Partner closely with managers and employees to support a positive workplace culture

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Approximately 4+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines including payroll, benefits, employee relations, and recruiting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information professionally and discreetly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
  • Familiarity with UKG, Workday, or similar HRIS platforms
  • Experience administering leave programs and employee benefits
