Job Description Summary
We seek a diligent and proactive Safety Officer to join our team in Thailand. The Safety Officer will ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety policies, conducting regular inspections, and submitting six-monthly reports to the relevant authorities.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Safety Training: Provide safety training and education to employees to promote a culture of safety.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Report Submission: Prepare and submit six-monthly safety reports to the relevant authorities, detailing safety performance, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
- Policy Development: Develop and update safety policies and procedures following local regulations and the ISO Management System.
- Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local safety and environmental legislation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certification in safety management or equivalent.
- A registered Safety Officer.
- Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication both Thai and English and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in conducting safety training sessions.
- Familiarity with safety reporting tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
