Job Description
The electrical engineer plans, initiates, and manages electrical engineering projects that require innovation, design, and implementation. The electrical engineer also leads and guides the work of technical staff, serves as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects, plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage, and monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

Duties
- • Understand and interpret digital and analog circuit designs;
- • Construct and test prototype circuits;
- • Develop, guide, and implement unit testing and optimization;
- • Verify compatibility with overall system by testing;
- • Document anomalies in operation and performance and recommend improvements;
- • Participate and initiate reviews and collaborative discussions.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering;
- • Candidates can be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with major or concentration in electrical engineering; Applications are open to qualified individuals with an associate degree;
- • Successful completion of practical course work in digital and analog design, and EMC;
- • Strong working knowledge of unit testing, including development, documentation, and execution;
- • Experienced in using electrical test equipment;
- • Experienced in using schematic-capture software and editing bills-of-material;
- • Demonstrated proficiency with version control tools;
- • Preferred: Hands-on experience in prototypes (assembly, soldering and testing);
- • Preferred: Write specifications and requirements and engineering change notices;
- • Preferred: Trained in PCB layout and/or PSpice.

Reporting and Work Environment
- • The successful candidate reports to the Chief Electrical Engineer. Remote working is expected, as is onsite hands on work, with on-site meetings (or other convenient venues) as required. The candidate should indicate if there are any anticipated impediments to travel from domicile to working location.
