Role:The Financial Advisor provides sales support for the Investment Services and Retirement Solutions team to increase the productivity of registered representatives and the overall program. This role involves delivering full-service financial planning and investment services to transitioning "B" and "C" clients, as well as potential new member clients. The Financial Advisor sells financial products and services by supporting and promoting full-service investment options, interacting with front-line Credit Union staff, and managing a book of clients to generate referrals and opportunities. The annual salary range for this position is: $51,766.62-$77,649.94. This role is based in Syracuse, NY, and requires on-site presence at our Empower FCU Investment Services offices, along with frequent travel to our Empower FCU branch locations. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:20% Financial Planning & Member Engagement:- Meet with members and potential members to evaluate and provide financial planning solutions.- Recommend appropriate investment and insurance products tailored to individual needs.- Offer sound investment guidance in alignment with members' financial goals.20% Marketing Materials Coordination:- Maintain updated supplies of prospectuses and approved advertising materials.- Coordinate with EFCU Marketing Department and CFS Ad Review for material approvals and updates.20% Proactive Client Outreach:- Increase production by proactively contacting established members.- Schedule appointments to present and sell additional financial products and services.20% Operational & System Support: - Support system functions to improve overall team efficiency.- Provide relief and back-up for the Investment Services Operations Administrator as needed.10% Seminar & Presentation Coordination:- Organize and conduct seminars and presentations for groups of members.- Introduce new products, explain investment concepts, and expand business opportunities.10% Regulatory Compliance:- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adhere to all FINRA regulations.- Ensure compliance in all financial advisory activities.- Perform all other duties as assigned. Performance Measurements:See Dayforce (HRIS) Performance Management for Goals upon start in role, and annually. Knowledge and Skills:Experience: 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience in financial advisory services, including client management, financial analysis, and/or sales development. Education: A college degree or equivalent education/experience is required for this position.- Candidates must hold one of the following licenses: Series 66 and Series 7.- Life, Accident, and Health licenses are preferred but not required. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills:- High-level proficiency in communication, both verbal and written.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple client accounts and responsibilities.- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in financial software, office applications, and data management tools.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.- Frequent communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, requiring strong interpersonal skills.- Ability to travel frequently to various branch locations for meetings, presentations, and client consultations.
