EDR is seeking an experienced, team-oriented Archaeologist with demonstrated ability to conduct archaeological monitoring and other archaeological fieldwork. Primary responsibilities will include archaeological monitoring and technical reporting during construction of large transportation and infrastructure projects. Depending on project schedules, opportunities to travel and join EDR field crews for archaeology surveys might be available. This role reports to the Archaeology Services Leader and will work as part of archaeological field teams. This is a seasonal or full-time role and requires candidates to be based in or relocate to Syracuse, NY.
Essential Skills:
The anticipated base pay range is $22-24 per hour commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual’s education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.

EDR is a multi-disciplinary environmental consulting and design firm that has been in business for over 45 years. Our staff includes a diverse group of environmental professionals that includes ecologists, botanists, wetland specialists, wildlife biologists, GIS specialists, archaeologists, historians, visualization specialists, planners, landscape architects, and engineers. EDR began providing cultural resources services in 2010, and since that time has conducted dozens of cultural resources investigations and historic preservation projects in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Our senior cultural resources staff meet the Secretary of Interior’s Historic Preservation Qualifications Standards in their respective fields.
