Requirements

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

The Import Operations Administrator supports the day-to-day execution of inbound international shipments by maintaining accurate records, monitoring shipment status, tracking documentation, and communicating updates and issues to Supply Chain and Operations teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Maintain accurate import shipment records in Excel and SharePoint, including container numbers, booking references, ETAs, and delivery status.

· Update shipment tracking files and internal schedules to reflect the latest available information.

· Track receipt of commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading from suppliers and brokers.

· Organize and file import documentation to ensure information is readily available for internal teams and customs brokers.

· Monitor inbound international shipments from booking through delivery and identify changes in status or timing.

· Communicate regularly with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to obtain shipment updates and clarify information.

· Provide clear, timely shipment status updates to Planning, Purchasing, and Operations.

· Escalate delays, missing documentation, or data inconsistencies with relevant background and context.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):

· Associate degree or equivalent work experience in supply chain, logistics, or administrative coordination.

· 2–4 years of experience in logistics coordination, import/export administration, or supply chain support roles.

· Basic understanding of international shipping terms and common import documentation.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills.

· Travel – Occasional travel by car or airplane may be required.

Salary Description
$70,000 - $80,000 YEARLY
