Job Summary:
The Technology Installation Technician at G&C Foods will be responsible for all duties and responsibilities listed below for the Transportation Department. The Transportation Installation Technician will work directly with the Fleet Technology Supervisor on the responsibilities below.
Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday 7:00a-5:30p
Essential Functions:
- Perform in service installation of all ELD/GPS, camera, ezpass, rfid tags, and required equipment on tractors, trailer, yard horses, dollies, and all other G&C vehicles. This includes making calls to the appropriate vendors for the initial set up of the installed equipment.
- Install all numbering and decaling required on in-service of new vehicles.
- Perform vehicle out of service by removing all above equipment, lettering, and decaling from vehicles. As well as cleaning interior and exterior for lease turn in or sale.
- Perform all necessary repairs/maintenance on any of the above equipment, lettering, or decaling.
- Clean garage bay after completion of each job as well as assist in any other shop cleaning that is necessary.
Education and Experience Required:
- Must have 12v installation experience or training in a related field.
- NYS driver’s license required.
- Must have basic installation technician tools.
- CDL A or B is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in the food industry a plus
- Experience in transportation or logistics a plus
- Excellent Customer Services skills required.
- Excellent Communication skills required.
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
