Job Title: Yard Specialist
Company Introduction: G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food. Our sole distribution center is in Syracuse, NY. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states and 28 states internationally.

Location: Syracuse, NY
Pay: starting at $18.50/hr.
Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday- 3:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Job Summary:
The Yard Specialist is a Certified Motor Vehicle Operator who operates primarily out of the truck yard at the G&C Foods facility. The Yard Specialist is responsible for the fleet of trucks and trailers including placement, inspection, and general maintenance of the equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs daily yard equipment inventory at the start of each shift
- Transports equipment to and from maintenance garages as needed
- Updates dispatch board in Operations as needed
- Cleans trailers internally before loading product
- Change DEF as needed
- Empty garbage bin near fuel station as needed
- Performing other functions as needed or directed by Transportation Management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- NYS CDL-A preferred
