Position SummaryAn Electrical Design Engineer is a member of our multi-disciplinary design team and will work along-side our engineering leadership. This Design Engineer will have opportunities to work on various types of renovation and new construction projects for commercial, multi-tenant residential and institutional building types, including health care, technology, utilities & education markets. Essential Functions:- Drafting of electrical construction drawings including details, plans & sections.- Electrical load and energy calculations- Design of electrical power and lighting systems- Design of fire alarm systems- Selection of electrical equipment- Coordinating with other engineering and architectural trades during design- Develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit- Participate in developing details, equipment schedules and specifications.- Research and assesses building performance and other regulations.- Contribute to design discussions and carry design concept through to project drawings.- Contribute to sustainable design discussions and implement sustainable strategies.- Coordinate and communicate with other team members. Position Requirements:- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Aided Drafting- Minimum 8-years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm.- Ability to work with minimal assistance from senior staff.- PE not required but a plus.- AutoCAD and/or Revit experience required. Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00
