POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursing Graduate Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, coordination and evaluation of the clinical components in the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Supports graduate program communications, admissions process and registration.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
- Contacts potential agencies for clinical/practicum placements
- Completes agency contract agreements
- Maintains an electronic list of clinical/practicum sites that insures accuracy of contact information and currency of contracts
- Uploads approved clinical evaluations into the appropriate program
- Develops and revises forms as needed, used to communicate with agencies and preceptors, and to document student experiential learning
- Promotes positive public relations with clinical sites to improve the visibility of Le Moyne College’s Department of Nursing
- Coordinates recognition of preceptor sites
- Oversees the administration of approx. 240 active contracts, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with program requirements.
- Coordinates with Contracts Department for approval or revision of clinical contracts.
- Maintains alumni database of over 200 NPs and distributes the FNP Newsletter.
- Updates the Clinical Student Orientation Handbook annually and ensures the revised version is distributed to faculty for distribution to students.
- Assists conditionally admitted FNP students to develop a program of study to complete required prerequisites
- Manages roster of updated licensure and CV information for approximately 700 active preceptors within Typhon
- Coordinates clinical faculty submissions of preceptor call logs and site visits.
- Maintains detailed logs for 45-89+ preceptor calls each semester to support accreditation compliance
- Creates and /or maintains google forms for surveys, evaluations and clinical coordination
- Works with Marketing and Communication department to highlight student and alumni accomplishments in nursing areas
- Supports incoming FNP and DNP students by
- Preparing new students file with program of study, advisors, and welcome email
- Registering new students after advisor approved
- Maintains list of student registrations, assuring all get registered
- Maintains list of students on Leave of Absence, communicate with student regarding status of return.
- Prepares and submit to Registrar graduating FNP students FORM 2 for initial certification
- Requests swipe access for students needing lab access
- Assists course faculty with preparation for clinical simulation for the FNP students
- Plans FNP White Coat Ceremony
- Updates and maintains Graduate webpages and catalog
- Point of contact for partner schools regarding non-matriculated registration
- Assists Graduate Director as needed
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Nursing

QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates Degree or equivalent professional experience required
- 2+ years of experience working in an administrative position required
- Experience working in a higher education environment is preferred.
- Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
- Superior interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse personalities in a mature, timely, and tactful manner
- Ability to work independently, navigate and meet competing deadlines
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of program and student information
- Proficient in the use of all MS Office applications and Google Suite
- Adaptable to other computer-based systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills.
