Provider Relations Systems & Process Educator
Position: Provider Relations Systems & Process Educator
Reports to: VP, Provider Relations
Location: Remote; Must Reside In New York State
Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000
Summary:
The Provider Relations System & Process Education position will lead the education of Provider Relations, ensuring that all staff are properly educated to successfully complete their job duties as well as ensuring MAS is always providing excellent customer service. Additional specific details of this role in each area can be found in more detail below. As a leader at MAS, this position maintains and builds strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to; MAS leadership, members of the New York State Bureau of Medicaid Transportation, Department of Health staff, and all other government officials as needed. This leader has a thorough understanding of, adherence to, and enforcement of, NYSDOH Medicaid NEMT policies and procedures throughout not only the areas of education and customer service excellence, but also in all leadership aspects of this role. The System & Process Education Provider Relations Team partners with all relevant department leadership and teams to ascertain, ensure, and measure that MAS is providing all necessary education and is engaging in excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of NYSDOH Policy, Section 505.10 Transportation for medical care and services, MAS Policy
- Knowledge of MAS Systems
- Transportation Provider Portal
- Medical Provider Portal
- Enrollee Portal
- MAS System
- Develops and implements appropriate course work, activities, and assessments for Provider Relations team
- Responsible for onboarding new staff members
- Conducts annual training for Provider Relations staff
- Create individual education plans for staff
- Create and maintain training/curriculum materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledgeable of emotional intelligence
- Maintain relevant training records
- Provides leadership for staff development
- Review and keep up to date the Provider Relations sections of the MAS website
- Liaison to programming: thorough understanding of all MAS systems in order to relay defects to programming and resolutions to Provider Relations team
- Knowledge of programming updates
- Testing of system enhancements
- Educate staff on system enhancements prior to release of new programming
- Attendance at PSPM
- Performs additional duties as assigned by Provider Relations Team
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of adults as Learners
- Creates an environment that encourages and supports learning
- Develops a rapport with Provider Relations team members to meets the needs of each and deliver a structured and fulfilling learning experience
- Ability to create educational materials and assessments geared towards adult learners
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
- Thorough understanding of new projects or products being developed
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with the ability to learn new or updated software
- Identify areas of opportunity for process and system improvements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or five (5) years related professional experience required.
- Experience with adult learning instruction preferred.
Travel Requirements:
May be required, at times, to attend meetings in-person primarily in the Syracuse area.
