National Grid is hiring Project Supervisors for our Customer Connections department in the West Midlands and East Anglia.

What you'll do

Essentially, you’ll ensure all site-based construction activities delivered by our principal contractors are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid policies and procedures. You’ll utilise the duties of ‘Client Representative’ with a keen eye on safety and the quality of the installation.

Assigning local projects and minimising travel is always a priority for us to find a better work/life balance, but travel across the region to our live construction projects will be required. This is a predominantly site-based role and our regions are quite large, but we will provide you with a company vehicle, paid travel and on top of this, plenty of opportunity to grow your career at National Grid.

About you

SSSTS or SMSTS qualification or equivalent site management/supervision qualification
A proven track record in electricity (or comparable) with site management or site supervision experience
Can demonstrate a good understanding of CDM regulations
Experience of quality management systems as supervisor under NEC
An awareness of Project, Contract and Stakeholder management and client representative experience
Full UK driving license is essential
