Our Colleague Communications & Engagement team leads strategic, purpose-driven communication and engagement initiatives across our organization. Their efforts amplify National Grid’s cultural strengths, promote colleague advocacy, enhance business performance, and make National Grid a great place to work for everyone. By promoting awareness and understanding of our organization’s vision, values, and clean energy future, this team consistently develops innovative content and facilitates two-way dialogue with colleagues and the greater team.
As a Gridtern, you will collaborate with operational team leaders to ensure the voice of our field-based colleagues—their needs, successes, and perspectives—is central to our storytelling. You will work closely with both the New York Colleague Communications & Engagement and broader teams across the US and UK. This role will allow you to support program development and execution, creating content for internal communication channels such as the intranet and internal social media, and assisting in various social events. You will also write stories and produce short videos to highlight employee achievements and spotlight teams that embody our Values in Action.
You will be in Syracuse, NY working in a Hybrid structure for the summer. You must be located within a commutable distance to the identified work location for the summer.

Salary Range
$18.00 - $21.00 an hour (Undergraduate Student)
$25.00 an hour (Graduate Student)
Candidates will be assessed and provided offers based on major, degree type, and class year. Our Gridtern Program does not offer relocation, housing assistance, or public transportation reimbursement for Gridterns; however, we can provide a list of resources to utilize in making your arrangements.
Must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont. As a Gridtern, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
