One year of clerical experience where majority of work time is spent performing keyboarding, data entry, chart compilation or arrangement or various tasks involving typing into computerized systems.
*Candidates will be required to pass a keyboarding test that demonstrates the ability to enter text at a rate of at least 30 words per minute with at least 96% accuracy.
Duties Description Full-Time, position available in our Psychiatry-Child Clinic department. The schedule based on a 37.5 hour work week. Monday-Friday, Day Shift.
Duties to include but are not limited to: Greets all visitors as they enter the building in a friendly manner, providing directions and information as needed. Completes front-end responsibilities, checking in patients and registering accounts. Stays current on changes and updates from the insurance industry. Obtains appropriate patient signatures and demographic information. Assist with EPIC work ques and assist in obtaining routine insurance authorizations. Schedules patient appointments in EPIC. Assists in scheduling meetings and conference rooms for providers. Prepares all needed documents, signatures, etc. for the next business day. Maintains scanning of patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
Assist in the new patient intake process with patient scheduling, correspondence as well as follow-up. Data enter and score patient evaluations (BASC) with the online program. Keep updated excel files. Consistently monitors accounts to ensure necessary steps have been taken for proper reimbursement of insurance companies. Maintains accurate active and discharged patient information within both the Child/Adult patient listings Completes day-end activities as well as produces a no-show letter to send certified mail to patient. Works closely with other support staff team members to ensure adequate coverage during lunches, vacations, etc.
Must be able to communicate effectively in order to transfer the information as well as complete a variety of tasks within a given time frame. Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are necessary. Computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology are desired.
