Basic Job Functions:
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Manage multiple projects from concept to execution while overseeing complex processes and system interdependencies and providing status updates to all stakeholders throughout the life cycle.
- Guide a cross-functional team through the Design Thinking and/or Agile processes, from discovery to delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure ongoing alignment on project goals.
- Build and maintain relationships within the business as well as 3rd party vendors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Establish clear goals, plans, and timelines, galvanizing the team towards achieving project milestones.
- Ensure high-quality results by employing the best practices in project management.
- Provide risk and resource management by anticipating bottlenecks, prioritizing projects, highlighting tradeoffs, balancing business needs versus technical constraints, and escalating decisions to managers as needed.
- Serve as a change agent by considering strategic objectives, evaluating customer impacts, and assisting with feasibility analysis on potential future projects and emerging technologies.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of user-centered design and Design Thinking methodologies
- Knowledge of software development best practices such as Agile methodologies
- 3+ years of experience in either project management and/or leadership role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in technical fields such as Engineering, Business, Computer Science, etc.
- Experience applying PMI project management framework to manage projects
- Certifications such as PMP, Agile, and/or Design Thinking
