Sunrise shift 10p-7a
Energizes and leads cleaners, schedules shifts, and collaborates with TS Stewarding. Champions safety protocols and Company Safety Policy. Keeps the jobsite safe and organized, conducts inspections, and completes reports. Adheres to NFPA 96 and ANSI regulations. Enthusiastically trains new employees and ensures certifications.
What you will do as a Kitchen Cleaning Supervisor:
- Collaborate with team members to create and maintain a cleaning schedule
- Maintain accurate electronic records, including photos, equipment logs, and reports via smartphones, tablets, and computers
- Train new technicians; track progress and certifications
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and rags
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment
- Disconnect and move kitchen equipment (e.g., stoves, ovens, fryers) for thorough cleaning
- Safely move heavy equipment using proper techniques
- Troubleshoot and repair cleaning equipment; replace broken components as needed
- Conduct pre-cleaning inspections and document any damage
- Reconnect and test equipment; re-light units or coordinate with TS Facilities as needed
- Report malfunctioning exhaust fans or duct systems to TS Facilities
- Work independently while coordinating with the Executive Steward as needed
- Serve as backup for the Lead Maintenance Technician when required
- Maintain inspection logs and equipment record
- Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and a positive attitude

Work Experience To be successful as a Kitchen Cleaning Supervisor, you'll need:
- A valid New York State driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in fire prevention and kitchen maintenance.
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- PECT Certification required.
- OSHA 10 Certification required.
- A strong understanding of NFPA 96 and ANSI standards for the inspection of commercial kitchen exhaust systems, with the ability to apply and adhere to these standards.
- Proficiency in using databases, spreadsheets, and scheduling software on smartphones, computers, and tablets (iPads).
- Ability to lead a team efficiently, maintaining productivity and time management.
- To be skilled in troubleshooting and repairing cleaning equipment and tools.
- Have a strong work ethic with the ability to lead by example.
- General knowledge of cleaning agents and equipment.
- The ability to operate Kaivac systems and pressure washers daily.
- Mechanical aptitude required to disconnect and reconnect kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
