The Financial Aid (FA) Office is searching for friendly, outgoing, responsible and flexible OCC students who are interested in joining our team as a FAFSA Ambassador. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to serve and gain professional experiences in a number of areas, such as assisting the Financial Aid office with: - Helping students and families file FAFSA and TAP applications.
- Assisting in outreach to students who have not yet filed their FAFSA/TAP applications.
- Assisting in outreach to students who still need to finalize FAFSA applications.
- Promote and support programming events which include but are not limited to printing posters, putting up posters, going to events, and spreading the word about upcoming events in support of FAFSA filing and completion.
- Greeting students and families as they come to the Financial Aid Service Center (FASC).
- Assisting students and families with basic FAFSA applications and procedures.
- Answering basic questions during the FAFSA application process.
- Assisting Financial Aid with other office or administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements: - Must be a Work-Study Eligible Student in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).
- Fun, flexible, and outgoing personality!
- Willingness to help others and good customer service.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Knowledge of OCC student log in procedures and MyOCC.
Additional Information: To see if you qualify for Federal Work Study (FWS) positions: Work Study Aides may work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session. - Additional hours may be worked during college breaks.
