Come work at the Counseling & Community Care Hub! We have a great office environment and are seeking applicants for Federal Work-Study positions. This highly confidential position is open to OCC students who are eligible for Federal Work Study aid. Approximately 10-15 hours per week. RESPONSIBILITIES - Front desk coverage in Office Coordinator's absence.
- Answer Counseling Center phones, taking detailed messages, forwarding to appropriate person.
- Answer student questions or assist them in finding the appropriate parties who can assist student.
- Check students in for their appointments.
- Professionally and empathetically handle students in crisis and/or with sensitive situations.
- Assist students with Food Pantry visits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: - Must be a Work-Study Eligible Student in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).
- Successful candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency on MS Office (Word, Excel and Publisher) is a plus!
- Must be efficient, responsible and have reliable transportation.
- Must have strong attention to detail and work well under pressure.
- This is a highly confidential position, and successful candidate must be empathetic and value the privacy of others.
