Job Description: The MakerSpace is an open lab that exists to cultivate creativity, development, and provide resources to our Onondaga Community College campus. We house various types of technology like 3D printers to give students and staff an opportunity to grow in some of the latest technology. Although located in a newer location, as we become more established, this will open the door for more development opportunities we can provide to our campus. The MakerSpace is also responsible for supplying support to the Art Department's Apple computers, print labs, and providing administrative support as needed. Responsibilities May Include: Greet visitors and enforce logins Keep lab clean and orderly Assist with maintaining and operating 3D printers Assist Technical Specialist with maintenance of computer & printer labs Ability to follow protocols and rules Be kind, courteous, and professional with everyone. In addition, the MLT Assistant may be tasked with other responsibilities as needs arise. Being flexible and having the willingness to help is required for an evolving environment. Requirements: - Must have a valid FAFSA on file
- Must have a financial need, as demonstrated by the FAFSA
- Must be matriculated into a program
- Attending at least half-time (6 credit hours)
- Maintain satisfactory progress (SAP) towards the completion of their program
Additional Information: - Pay Rate: Starting rate of $15.50 for new Federal Work Studies.
Starting rate of $16.75 for returning Federal Work Studies - Hours of Operations: Monday-Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm
