Job Description: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Be responsible for duties assigned by the Head Track & Field Coach.
- Teach proper skills and techniques
- Act professionally when communicating with players, coaches, media and individuals in the community.
- Attend practices and meets as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Be knowledgeable of the college's policies and procedures on recruiting, academic programs and philosophy of athletic programs.
- Have an operational understanding of National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rules and requirements.
- Assist Head Coach with recruiting qualified student-athletes to Onondaga Community College.
- Understand that the Head Coach is responsible for dealing with vendors and fundraisers.
- Be responsible for the players and assignments in the absence of the Head Coach.
Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency
- Prior coaching experience in the sport, preferably at the secondary or post-secondary level; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
