Senior Registered Nurse- Women's Services Unit, Oswego Hospital

The SR RN will coordinate the organization, development, implementation and evaluation of the unit-specific orientation program in accordance with methods and procedures standard of performance, operation of equipment, and rules and regulations as assigned.

Assist with review, revision and developmental policies and procedures. Assist with implementation of JCAHO, DOH and other regulatory agency requirements. Assign, supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance. Assist with development, implementation and evaluation of the department Quality Improvement Program and Competency Program. Assist with developmental CQI Team as assigned.

Assist in unit organization, including physical setting and materials management, for cost effectiveness in all aspects of patient care and unit management. Assist Manager through input for departmental goal setting, long range planning and early budgeting process. Prepare staffing schedule accurately and fairly, assuring proper overage, in a cost-effective manner as assigned. Assist in problem solving, including delivery of patient care, and using the proper chain of command. Serve on committees as assigned, attend meetings in manager’s absence, and communicate information as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned by Director and represent them in their absence.

Diploma from and accredited school of nursing, with current licensure in NYS. Current CPR. Must have 5 years Women's Services experience in a hospital with charge or other supervisory capacity.

Pay Range: $45.90/hour

Employee salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
