Position Description:
PAR Technology Corporation has an opportunity available for an Electronic Technician I to join its Service Repair Department in New Hartford, NY. This role is responsible for servicing, repairing, installing, and inspecting POS products and peripherals, ensuring all equipment meets operational, safety, and quality standards. The Electronic Technician I applies electronics knowledge, diagnostic tools, and detailed repair techniques to restore equipment to full functionality while maintaining accurate records and inventory.

What We’re Looking For:
• Associate degree in an Electronics or Computer-centric field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
• Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to follow highly complex directions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional skills:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working with small components and microscopic soldering.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:
• Service, repair, install, and inspect POS products and peripherals using physical inspection, disassembly, and diagnostic tools.
• Run diagnostic programs to troubleshoot internal component failures.
• Perform circuit board diagnostics, microscopic soldering, functional testing, and light assembly.
• Determine material and replacement needs and execute effective repair solutions.
• Maintain inventory of replacement parts and service equipment.
• Identify and report potentially dangerous electrical equipment and assist in resolution.
• Develop and maintain accurate records related to electronic and electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and internal policies.
