Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr Mission and System Integration Engineer to join our team! As a Senior Integrator on our team, you’ll work with Parsons colleagues and partners and the U.S. Space Force to support the framework that hosts OPIR applications critical to the defense of our country. Grow your skills by merging innovative engineering methodologies and cross-disciplinary coordination to create tomorrow’s solutions. In this role, you will develop detailed knowledge of the mission partner’s satellite systems, subsystems, and components to ensure requirements and mission objectives are met all while supporting our US Space Force customer.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Integration liaison between the mission partner and the IV&T team.
- Develop and manage both mission specific and system specific integration plans, schedules, and resources.
- Coordinate mission partner needs across functional teams to include development, integration, test, and project managers.
- Support overall integration engineering with mission partner’s MUS and MUA into the OPIR framework.
- Define and coordinate use-cases and requirements to support mission and system integration.
- Coordinate with mission partners on their integration and test activities.
- Ensure that applications, once integrated, meet customer requirements.
- Maintain and update external ICDs between the mission partner’s components and the OPIR framework.
- Deep dive discovery and performance assessments on existing application integration processes.
- In depth integration of COTS/GOTS/FOSS applications into designated frameworks.
- Participating in technical discussions to assist in planning future integration efforts.
- Collaborate with the team and customer to ensure Integration, Test, and Validation processes align with organizational goals as well as customer needs.
- Provide technical guidance on containerization practices, microservices architecture, and system scalability.
- Improve overall application integration, testing and validation processes and continuously find ways to modernize and improve performance.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field and 8+ years of related experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with mission partners.
- Experience with satellite mission operations.
- Experience with mission integration and test.
- Ability to define, develop, maintain, and execute large scale system integration plans to include an program System Integration Test Plan (SITP).
- Understanding and implementation experience in CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and work under pressure.
- 8+ years of experience in OPIR and 3+ years in MDPAF.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- USSF FORGE MDPAF knowledge.
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile development environments.
- DevSecOps automated integration knowledge.
- Experience working DoD projects.
- Integration experience in hybrid platforms (Cloud, On-premise, standalone).
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
