Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Process Engineer to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
Performs complex engineering tasks and important process engineering work efficiently and accurately.
Prepares complex process engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams).
Completes a variety of process engineering assignments such as alternatives analysis, position white papers, conceptual drawings, specifications, and other documents suitable for design purposes.
Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.
Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
Prepares and issues drawings, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters and junior Process Engineers working on the same project.
May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on process engineering related matters.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Work will be performed remote from or at the project site.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
8+ years of related work experience
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Engineers in Training-EIT Certification is preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred
Advanced knowledge of process engineering theories and practices
Advanced knowledge of company procedures
Advanced knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
Effective analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to perform complex engineering tasks efficiently and accurately
Ability to travel for business or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site location
