Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Infrastructure Design Manager to join our team!
The Infrastructure Design Manager will lead and oversee the development of infrastructure design for a major rail project, ensuring all civil and structural components are fully integrated and aligned with project objectives. The role is responsible for managing multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating design development, and ensuring that all outputs meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and programme targets.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and manage the infrastructure design process, ensuring integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, and utility disciplines
Oversee preparation and review of design deliverables across concept, preliminary, and tender stages
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including stations, rail systems, urban planning, and environmental specialists
Ensure all design outputs meet project requirements, standards, and regulatory frameworks
Coordinate with airport stakeholders to ensure integration with terminal operations, landside/airside interfaces, and passenger flow requirements
Ensure infrastructure design supports seamless integration with airport systems, including access, interchange, and operational interfaces
Monitor design progress and ensure alignment with programme, budget, and project milestones
Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises to optimize project outcomes
Ensure infrastructure design supports overall system integration, including alignment, stations, and operational interfaces
Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, and relevant entities to ensure approvals and alignment
Identify and manage design risks and propose mitigation strategies
Support preparation of technical documentation, reports, and tender deliverables
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the design team
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from a recognized university
Professional certification or membership of a relevant institute is an advantage
Minimum 15+ years of experience in infrastructure design within the AECO industry
Proven experience in rail or infrastructure projects, including express or high-performance rail systems
Strong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and complex design interfaces
Good understanding of civil infrastructure elements including alignment, structures, tunnels, viaducts, and utilities
Experience in projects involving airport integration or intermodal transport hubs is preferred
Understanding of airport operations, passenger flow, and interface with aviation stakeholders is an advantage
Familiarity with international design standards and local regulatory requirements
Experience in design development, coordination, and preparation of tender documentation
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in complex multi-stakeholder environments, preferably in the GCC
