HR Generalist at Saab Technologies Poland
Saab Technologies Poland (STPL) is looking for a HR Generalist at our Warsaw office. It is a new position and as the role grows, you will lead, develop and implement policies and procedures to meet and maintain both internal and external company standards.
Your role
As a HR Generalist at Saab Technologies Poland, you will work in an international corporate setting. Saab Technologies Poland has operations today on multiple sites: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Gdynia and others, including sites where delivery projects are performed by Saab companies, e.g., Drawsko Pomorskie. In this multifunctional role you will be responsible for managing HR, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and GDPR as governance functions for STPL.
You will support STPL Management Board, Business development team and ongoing delivery projects in Poland. You will report to STPL Management board with a dotted line reporting the function HR to a nominated HR contact.
Your main tasks will be, but not limited to:
- Support and advise STPL Management Board and STPL line managers to ensure compliance towards Polish Labour Law including Polish Labour Code and OHS regulations, GDPR regulations as well as STPL’s internal regulations;
- Compliance management regarding HR, OHS and GDPR in close cooperation with SAAB AB governance functions;
- Internal and external HR, OHS and GDPR reporting;
- Develop and implement STPL policies, protocols and procedures;
- Keep yourself updated on Polish and on SAAB AB international HR, OHS and GDPR requirements;
- HR documentation management;
- Interface with authorities and consultants;
- Participate in recruitments and onboarding;
- Participate in required training in relevant competence areas for the position.
Your profile
You are an experienced HR generalist with sound knowledge of Polish Labour Code and related regulations including health &safety and GDPR.
A brief summary of the profile that we are looking for:
- demonstrated generalist experienced in all HR functions including experience with drawing up and implementing internal regulations and employee-related documentation in an HR setting;
- have practical knowledge of Polish Labour Law with particular focus on working time legislation (planning and calculation of working time);
- have general, and preferably practical knowledge of GDPR and OHS;
- be able to work well in teams, be a team player, as well as have your own drive;
- ability to operate independently, able to resolve problems that require analytic reasoning and comprise of complex information in a changing environment;
- personal security clearance is required. Valid Personal security clearance will be considered as an advantage.
Desired skills
- excellent communication skills in Polish and English, verbal and written;
- experience from working in a global corporate company;
- experience in using digital tools as Workday and MS Office;
- excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain networks and good relations inside as well as outside your own organization;
- ability to influence, persuade, lead and motivate the members of the organization in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization;
- demonstrated ability to manage workload including the ability to prioritize work and meet established timeframes;
- cost awareness;
- goal oriented;
- driving license;
- having a structured way of working, from planning to execution including strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Personal qualities will be of great importance and it is paramount that you are trustworthy with very strong ethics and high personal integrity. As an HR Generalist at Saab, you are likely to get in contact with classified information.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening by both Polish and Swedish authorities. The role will require travelling domestic and abroad.

You will be part of, and based at Saab Technologies Poland in Warsaw reporting to the Management Board with a dotted line reporting the function HR to a nominated HR contact. . You will be supporting operations at all our facilities in Poland, as well as facilities at which delivery projects are performed by Saab companies. Interfacing corporate and project organizations.
