Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Performs routine and specialized Blood Bank tests and procedures. Prepares components as appropriate for transfusion.

Job Summary: Performs Blood Bank test procedures including type and screen and crossmatch, immunohematology procedures including antibody panels, elutions, neutralizations, absorptions, titrations and cell typings; issues blood and blood products; prepares components for transfusion; orders blood products from ARC, process donor units and enters products into inventory. Rotates the various workstations with other staff in Blood Bank. Performs special tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and 2 years clinical lab experience required. Candidates with no clinical lab experience or with a NYS license/ registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary. Ability to distinguish colors required.
Preferred Qualifications:Work Days:
Monday-Friday, Days. Weekend and holidays on rotation.
