Job Summary: Perform duties of CT and Xray technologists. Determine individual technique and protocol for prescribed examination and position patient properly. Reads and interprets physicians orders. Properly shield patients for all examinations. Produce quality radiographs with correct patient id and markings. Review and evaluate images to ensure satisfactory quality. Maintain clean examination room and equipment. Communicate with patients requiring examination and procedures, and provide reassurance, as necessary. Perform identification procedure by verbally confirming with the patient before beginning a procedure. Register patients, enter orders, and track patients using the RIS. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Must be customer service oriented and maintain a professional appearance at all times. Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Medical Radiography and License and Registration (ARRT) required. May need additional certification, depending on specialty. Two years experience as a Medical Radiology Technologist. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
