Research: Carry out high-quality original research and maintain a good publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Endeavor on a continuing basis to fund that research by generating support from extramural granting agencies. Establish a reputation as a successful independent investigator.
Teaching: Offer clear and effective instruction in biochemistry, molecular biology, and other areas within your expertise to students in the College of Medicine and Graduate Studies. Help in the evaluation of graduate and medical students.
Mentoring: Offer research training to such medical, graduate and postdoctoral students as you are able to recruit, support financially, and accommodate in your assigned space.
Consultation: Offer consultation and the opportunity for collaboration in problems related to your area of expertise to colleagues at the Medical Center, in so far as those activities do not interfere with the performance of the duties listed above.
Service: Participate in governance and curriculum development by serving on departmental and institutional committees as appointed and elected. Endeavor to act in a congenial and collegial manner towards other members of the University community
Minimum Qualifications:PhD degree with postdoctoral experience in Biochemistry, Molecular
Biology, or related field
Work Days:
Flexible with weekends possible
