The Application Coordinator - HIS works collaboratively with the Project Director and Project Managers, as well as other source owners, to develop a project plan for each project that will establish project timelines, tasks, and milestones in collaboration with the vendor. The incumbent is responsible for in-depth knowledge of system software as well as operational workflows, to include achieving and maintaining application certification, coordinating and communicating with the end users and representatives from various hospital, financial, and ancillary departments on a routine basis, designing and building the application including routine maintenance and software upgrades, and preparing and maintaining application test scripts for assigned applications and actively participates in testing. The Application Coordinator is also responsible for end-user support including off hours support as needed and preparing troubleshooting documentation as necessary for help desk and application team members.
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years relevant professional work experience (preferably in a clinical healthcare setting) or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must be self-directed with strong interpersonal, communication, analytic and computer skills.
Certification in Epic MyChart and/or other Epic mobile/web applications. Strong communication skills with internal and external teams, reviewing software upgrades, software testing analysis, analyzing business operations and workflows, and working with vendor and end users to tailor systems to organizational needs.
