The Assistant Director of Nursing provides clinical leadership to the unit/area managers through the development and maintenance of standards of clinical practice, and participation on nursing and hospital committees. Functions as a member of the nursing leadership team with responsibility for the provision of clinical, service, quality, financial management/ development, and personnel management initiatives, services, and outcomes for the efficient and effective operations of the designated Ambulatory departments.
NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. Minimum of 5 years relevant post RN licensure experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting to include a combination of 2 years of nursing management, supervisory, or advanced practice experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, leadership, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
Masters in Public Health, Health Administration or Business Administration or related field preferred. Previous experience in Ambulatory Services is strongly preferred.
