The Speech and Language Pathologist Supervisor is responsible for daily oversight of the SLP clinical care and functional operations to include delivery of patient care, staff supervision, and quality assurance. The Supervisor works with the Nurse Manager of Otolaryngology to develop and implement annual goals and objectives, and works with the Nurse Manager and Team Leader of Otolaryngology to ensure seamless patient care.
Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, NYS licensure or eligible in Speech Pathology, clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent) and completion of one year of clinical fellowship required. Three years of related Otolaryngology experience required. Previous supervisory experience required. CPR/BLS certification required at time of appointment.
Experience evaluating and treating adult head and neck cancer patients, laryngectomy patients as well as tracheostomy patients preferred. Previous experience working with residents in a teaching institution preferred.
