Job Summary:
Schedule based on a 40-hour work week. Must be available to work Monday- Friday, between the hours of 8:00am- 5:30pm. Provides administrative support for department of rehabilitation, primarily by verifying patient insurance benefits and retrieving authorizations. Consistently monitors accounts to ensure necessary steps have been taken for proper reimbursement of insurance companies. Stays current on changes and updates from insurance industry. necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.
To be considered for a Provisional appointment: Must have had one-year permanent full-time Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1 experience (in a hospital setting). ONLY experience in healthcare setting will be considered qualifying.
