Will complete treatments per initial evaluation completed by a physical therapist; monitor response to treatment and modify treatment appropriately; attend designated clinics, rounds and conferences and render patient information; complete appropriate documentation. Other responsibilities include: providing in-service education and community education within the scope of knowledge base, clinically supervise PTA SL1, PTA students, rehab therapy USTs, and volunteers.
Associates degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant, NYS License or eligible (but must receive license in 1 year) and two years clinical experience required. Candidates who possess an Associates degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant, NYS licensure or eligible (but must receive license in 1 year) and less than 2 years experience will be considered for appointment to an entry level (SL1) position at commensurate salary. CPR certification required by time of appointment.
