Duties include carrying out scientific research, in a collaborative and/or independent fashion, and general lab upkeep. General laboratory maintenance will include monitoring supplies, maintenance of animal colony, and preparation of lab reagents. In addition, they will gain expertise in a variety of experimental techniques. The potential techniques include preparation of tissue samples; tissue culture; fluorescence and confocal microscopy; DNA, RNA, and protein analyses by gel electrophoresis, western blotting, PCR, qCPR, and sequence analysis. They will engage in data interpretation and analysis, and report preparation. If results are included in publications, they will be appropriately acknowledged in the published manuscripts. Good organizational and record-keeping skills are required.
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience or related field

Salary Range:$36,000-$42,000
