Duties include, but are not limited to: refilling automated dispensing cabinets, fill unit dose carts, and answer/screen telephone calls. Will deliver pharmaceuticals to nursing units and automated dispensing cabinets. Will replenish floor stock items. Will restock pharmacy dispensing areas, obtain and organize supplies for pharmacist compounding, and repackage bulk supplies. Will maintain and clean equipment used in Pharmacy and perform light housekeeping. Must possess working knowledge of acceptable methods and practices used in receiving, storing, and issuing pharmaceutical supplies. Must be able to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions and be able to bend, lift, climb, stoop, and kneel.
You must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma, issued by an appropriate educational authority AND:
Either 1. one year of experience assisting with the filling of medical prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist;
Or 2. a current Pharmacy Technician Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB);
Or 3. a certificate or diploma from a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Schedule based on a 37.5 work week. Must be available to work every other weekend and rotating shifts to include (days/evenings/nights based on operational need). Will be required to work holidays as needed. Specific work schedule is determined.
