See open jobs at State University of New York Upstate Medical University.See open jobs similar to "MICU Clinical Practice Coordinator" This is CNY.Working under the Deputy Director of Inpatient Nursing Services, the MICU Clinical Practice Coordinator (MCPC) will facilitate coordination between multidisciplinary teams caring for the inpatient medicine intensive care patients to ensure exceptional outcomes. The MCPC will collaborate with regional and national experts in critical care to drive innovative care. The MCPC will function as the quality coordinator and educator for the inpatient MICU teams. They will provide clinical expertise and staff education regarding critical care concepts pertaining to the care of the MICU patient population. The MCPC will lead and/or assist with system wide MICU initiatives as identified by the director. They will demonstrate the ability to sustain effective relationships with Nursing and other interdisciplinary colleagues. The MCPC demonstrates comprehensive quality nursing care and will assist the MICU service team to deliver best-practice/high quality care, meet regulatory standards, certification, and accreditation. They will collaborate with the ICU Governance Committee regarding evaluation and interpretation of quality metrics to identify and implement quality improvement processes as well as streamline and improve care across the continuum. The MCPC exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.
NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible), Master's degree in Nursing and a minimum of three years critical care RN experience required. Clinical expertise in caring for complex MICU patients required. Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills and strong problem-solving abilities required. CPR-BLS certification is required by the time of appointment.
Nursing certification in Critical Care (CCRN) preferred.
