Job Summary:
This position will work with Bed Control & Nursing regarding patient bed assignments & patient admissions, work with clinicians regarding patient deaths and completion of DAVE. Work with Utilization Review department to ensure correct patient class & status changes in EPIC for patients inhouse or recently discharged. Will be responsible for the securing and releasing of inhouse patient's valuables in the hospital safe.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and three years relevant experience in a health care setting (hospital preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Health Access Associate (CHAA) required**
**Candidates who do not currently possess CHAA will be required to obtain certification within 2 years of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Work Days:
Primary shift of 6:45a-3:15p Tues-Sat with occasional holiday coverage
